Anthony, New Mexico - 350 residents and voters gathered Thursday April 8, 2010 to hear from 18 candidates running for Mayor, Trustee and Municipal Judge.  Anthony is the newest municipality in New Mexico and is the 3rd largest in Dona Ana County.  Faced with issues of crime, graffiti, flooding and infrastructure challenges, residents were excited to have an opportunity to meet candidates and express their concerns.  The event was organized by leaders of New Mexico Comunidades en Accion y de Fe (CAFe), a new affiliate of the PICO National Network. The forum was the largest mobilization of residents Anthony has ever organized.  

The event drew State Senator Mary Jane Garcia and State Representative Joseph Cervantes as well as a spokesperson for House Representative Harry Teague.
